The Spiritual Coordinates Of Light - I

Our seven spiritual coordinates of light (chakras or spiritual centers) govern the flow of energy in our bodies moment by moment. Invisible to the physical eye, they constantly operate at subtle levels. Simply put, these energy centers perform like sending-stations of the energy that flows to us, through us and out from us perpetually. Each center is like a step-down transformer that translates this powerful energy from spirit to a different level of our being, nourishing body, mind and soul. These chakras are situated at etheric levels of our being along the spinal column at the base of the spine, midway between the base and the navel, at the navel, the heart, the throat, the brow and the top of the head.

In order to master the flow of God's energy through the seven charkas, one ought to consider the mastery of the four elements-of fire, air, water, and earth-as planes of God's consciousness. By the mastery of the four elements, one gains the mastery of flow of energy through the four lower bodies as these bodies serve as chalices for the anchoring of electromagnetic field (aura) around the soul. The following is a simplified characterization of the four lower bodies involving the mastery of the each of the four elements, the corresponding charkas, and the number of petals in each chakra:

1. Etheric Body
Fire element
Mastery of the heart chakra (12 petals)
2. Mental Body
Air element
Mastery of the seat-of-the soul chakra
(six petals) and third-eye chakra (96 petals)
3. Emotional Body
Water element
Mastery of the solar plexus chakra
(10 petals) and throat chakra (16 petals)
4. Earth Body
Physical element (time and space)
Mastery of the crown chakra (one-thousand petals) and base-of-the spine chakra (four petals)

As students of the ascended masters, we are challenged to learn how to govern energy flow that constantly passes through our coordinate charkas. In this issue of "The Violet Flame Voice," we will review some important aspects related to the mastery of the energies flowing through the seat-of-the soul and the third-eye charkas in the mental body.

The energies of freedom are anchored in the seat-of-the soul chakra. This is the chakra where the action of the seventh-ray of transmutation can be magnetized. Through this ray, the misdemeanors of the soul enacted through a misuse of the energies of all of the chakras can be transmuted, their moulds (thoughtforms) melted down, and the energies used again for the building of positive and constructive matrices. The six petals of the soul chakra represent the six-pointed star of victory for the mastery of the seven chakras in the four lower bodies. In the words of the Ascended Master Djwal Kul, "The mastery of the seat-of-the-soul chakra is the mastery of the flame of freedom in the Aquarian cycle. ----- And it is the release of that energy in the upper charkas in creativity, in genius, in learning and innovation, and in the art, the music, the literature, and the culture of the Divine Mother."(Source: The Human Aura: How to Activate and Energize Your Aura and Chakras by Kuthumi and Djwal Kul, Summit University Press, 1996).

The third eye chakra vibrating in the emerald green color is meant to hold the immaculate picture of every one-the real image or the divine pattern. The third-eye chakra contains ninty-six petals-forty-eight for the outward thrust of Alpha (mastery of Spiritual plane or the Father principle of God) and forty-eight for the inward thrust of Omega (Mastery of the Matter plane or the Mother principle of God). Each petal of the third-eye chakra plays a unique role in unfolding the blue print the soul. The forty-eight pairs of petals are for the anchoring of the twelve aspects of God's consciousness in each of the four lower bodies of the aspirant.

Once we understand the role of these two coordinates of light-- the seat-of-the soul and third-eye charkas-- we begin to understand the profound meaning of the words of Jesus when he referred to this as single-eye vision by saying, "If therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light." The single-eyed vision of which Jesus spoke is the converging of the six-pointed star (i.e., six petals of the seat-of-the soul chakra) raised to the level of the third eye.

As the perfect geometry of God, the ascending triangle of the seat-of-the soul chakra (i.e., alchemy of the violet flame) rises and merges with the descending triangle of the third-eye chakra (i.e., precipitation of the green flame) in the mental body to restore life its true meaning. When a person accomplishes this goal through a conscious process of self-mastery, he becomes perpetually aware of reality of life surrounding him. He frees himself free from human prejudices and lesser thoughts for others. He no longer looks at others through a two-eye human vision of duality and imperfection. Instead, he has mastered the science of immaculate concept that sees all life as God sees.

The key to the mastery of the air element through the-seat-of-the soul chakra and the third-eye chakra is when the soul that is free in God demonstrates the law of life, "to see is to be, and to be is to see." This is to say that, in order for the aspirant to become the perfection of God, he recognizes the fact that the image of the perfection has been placed in the third-eye chakra by the creator himself waiting to be put into practice at the opportune cosmic moment when he becomes aware of it. That cosmic moment is here and NOW, if we choose to accept it.
